Did you know that when oil from the Bakken Shale Formation comes out of the ground, it can sometimes be green?
This blog is all about the Bakken - the good the bad; the blessings and the curses that the oil boom is bringing to the state of North Dakota. Whether you like the boom or not, it's here to stay for a quite a while, so why not Go Green? Bakken Green!
About the Bloggers:
Cari Lawlar Bousfield is a mom, freelance writer, blogger and woman of faith who is originally from Watford City - the hub of the Bakken in western North Dakota. Her dad recently retired from driving truck in the oilfield for over 30 years. Her two brothers, Mark and Todd, have worked in the oilfield for many years. She grew up listening to stories about trippin' pipe, chainin' up, gettin' stuck, and just flat out workin' hard. She lives in Bismarck with her husband and daughter.
Michael Todd Lawlar is one of the hardest working guys known to many. Not only does he work in the oilfield, he does tree work on his days off, tries to go to church when he can and spends as much time as possible with his beautiful wife. He has traveled the world on missions trips and has driven thousands of miles all over the country. He lives in Bismarck but spends a lot of his time in the Bakken.
